Young translators for the benefit of Tatarstan
The project foresees creation of English pages for the websites of regional government agencies and organizations of Tatarstan, followed by prompt newsline translation by junior and senior translation/interpretation students of colleges in Kazan and other Tatarstan cities, in the framework of mandatory internships, as wel as coursework and diploma translations. The essence of the proposal is outsourcing newsline translation of respective agencies to specialized departments of Tatarstan colleges based on binding agreements.
First participating translation department and their potential partners are identified, interaction proceedures are being developped.

Translator is a specialist in linguistics that must show mastery of her/his mother tongue and foreign language(s), have broad outlook, good understanding of issues in materials to be translated and have as much practical translation experience as possible. Training such a specialist must be many sided and practically oriented.
All-sided coverage of achievements and future possibilities in Tatarstan make an important part of RT strategic development program, oriented at increasing competitiveness of our region. Public agencies of Tatarstan are interested in a long-term reliable solution so their best staff can concentrate on important tasks furthering development of the region.
